Pictured above is the poster of a world class swimming facility in Multimedia university. The facility is set to host a big swimming event on the 17th August,2013. The event will start at 1pm and end at 5pm, All Rongai residents and the entire Multimedia fraternity are welcome, the entrance fee is Sh.50.
According to the event organizer, Mr. Tom Kinyanjui, the event is well planned and is to be attended by high profile personalities. ” I decided to come up with this event because i realized Rongai residents do not participate in this activities,” he said.
“I simply want to bring a new event to this region and my aim is to popularize the swimming sport which is unpopular in this area.”
When i asked him whether their is payment for the winners, he had this to say, “this is a competition like any other, therefore whoever wins there is a token, the overall winner will go home with Sh.10,000, the second Sh, 5,000 while the third one Sh, 2,500.”
He later went on to give a list of what the club house offers (pictured below)
The event is all about promoting talent and is not aimed at making money and that is why they have not spent much time advertising. After the event visitors will take their meals at the Multimedia University Three star hotel pictured below
